Educator of the Year (7-12)

This year’s Educator of the Year for grades 7-12 is Shanah Legree. Shanah Legree is originally from Cincinnati, has been teaching computer science for the past decade, Shanah is extremely passionate about teaching computer science. Her journey has taken her from the vibrant city of Houston to the industrious streets of Detroit and the charming landscapes of Statesboro, South Georgia. Each place has offered its own unique experiences, and she has embraced them all.

Teaching and creating innovative learning experiences bring her immense joy. In addition to their professional endeavors, Shanah is also a children’s book author who loves sports, exercising, and constantly learning new things. As a proud mother of three remarkable children, each with their own unique blend of intelligence and athleticism, she is deeply committed to my family.

Looking ahead, she is excited about expanding her horizons in human resources and people skills. Her life is a testament to my dedication to education, family, and making a meaningful impact in all that she does.
