Rev. Dr. Jonathan Brown

Community Advocate of the Year

Jonathan Dale Brown currently serves as the 10th Pastor at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church and Director of School Leadership-Cincinnati Public Schools. Dr. Brown has an extensive background in S.T.E.M. Education, graduating from Cincinnati Academy of Mathematics and Science High School (C.A.M.A.S.), teaching at Quebec Heights C.A.M.A.S. Elementary School, Associate Superintendent of S.T.E.M Dayton Public and Principal of William Howard Taft Elementary S.T.E.M. School. Dr. Brown has been recognized for his work as an educator, Principal of the Year by Ohio Black School Educator Association 2018-2019 and Finalist for the Dr. Lawrence C. Hawkins Educator of the Year 2019.

For the past three years, Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church has hosted STEMulating Saturdays for students residing in Cincinnati, Ohio from Kindergarten to Twelfth grades.

Prior to and during this pandemic, Pilgrim continues to make an impact in the community by delivering free food to senior citizens throughout Cincinnati, providing Thanksgiving Luncheon for families in need, advocating for effective community policing as a member of the City Managers Advisory Group Cincinnati Collaborative Refresh, and annual Blessing in a Backpack providing hundreds of book bags and school supplies to students returning to school. Reverend Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts, Mt. St. Joseph; Masters and Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Brown is married to the former Kasandré Ealy and has two children, Brittani and Jonathan.
