Mrs. Lacy Vasser

Educator of the Year (K-6)

Ms. Lacy Vasser, is a Cincinnati Public School educator who currently teaches at South Avondale Elementary.

She has been with South Avondale since 2009, starting as a paraprofessional before becoming a prek-3 teacher in 2017.

Ms. Vasser believes education is important, because it teaches values, builds character, and prepares you for your future. Ms. Vasser pursued education due to her interest in helping young people want more out of life. She holds an Associates of Science for Web Design, a Bachelor’s of Science for Criminal Justice and a Masters of Arts in Education. Ms. Vasser, currently teaches 3rd grade math and science and is, also, the STEM coordinator at South Avondale.

Ms. Vasser, is not a Cincinnati native. She was born in Southern Illinois and moved here at the age of 9. She has a 28 year old daughter, enjoys spending time with family and loves to travel.
