Chelsea Clark

Entrepreneur of the Year

Growing up in Ohio as a sixth-generation farmer, Chelsea learned the importance of hard work and community.

Chelsea graduated with her bachelors from Miami University, Oxford, after studying Business and Political Science. Later she earned an Executive Certification from the University of Notre Dame in Business Negotiations, Finance, and Administration.

After winning the Mortar Judge’s Choice Award, through an incubator she launched “The STEM Lab”. Chelsea built her company into a force to help increase access for minorities and girls’ skills necessary for and pathway to high-paying and innovative industries. It is now the largest privately owned full service STEM company in the region. Never done serving her community, in 2018 Chelsea was elected to the Forest Park City Council and still serves today. As a Commissioner on the Economic Development Commission, Chelsea has spearheaded initiatives to help small and minority businesses get access to tools and capital to be sustainable. She launched the city’s first Minority Business Initiative to help spawn economic growth with minority entrepreneurs. To continue advocating for people, she plays a number of different roles in the city and county including a Trustee on SORTA and founding member of the Winton Woods Achievement Boosters.

Among other awards, in 2020, she received the Black History Month Award from Hamilton County for her commitment to STEM education and political advocacy. She considers her proudest achievement being her brainchild project at Rockdale: The Urban Learning Garden and Solar Greenhouse.

Chelsea enjoys camping, gardening, plays and musicals, all things food, and coaching her children in basketball.
